St. Lawrence Cruise Lines Updates Boarding Policy for 2021 Season
All Passengers to Require Proof of Vaccination

May 19, 2021

Kingston, ON:  Effective for the 2021 cruising season, all passengers and crew on St. Lawrence Cruise Lines will require proof of vaccination before boarding their cruise. This announcement follows the cruise line’s previous decision to delay the start of the 2021 cruise season to allow travellers a greater opportunity to be vaccinated according to Canadian federal and provincial health mandates.

The vaccination requirement will extend to all crew members and the policy is intended to work cooperatively with the requirement to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test (NAAT/PCR or antigen) result within 72 hours of boarding the vessel. This policy will provide another layer of safety for all passengers, crew, and the public during the 2021 cruise season.

St. Lawrence Cruise Lines President Jason Clark comments, “It has become clear that requesting proof of vaccination with a clear COVID-19 test has become an industry-wide standard in cruising. We trust that this added precaution reinforces our commitment to look after the safety of our passengers and crew.”

St. Lawrence Cruise Lines operates calm water overnight cruises on the St. Lawrence and Ottawa Rivers, with departures from Kingston, Ottawa, and Quebec City. The vessel travels exclusively in Canadian waters and makes overnight stops at select ports in Ontario and Quebec. All staterooms have access to fresh air, climate controls, and an intimate view of the river.

The first cruise of the 2021 season will depart Kingston on July 8th. Travellers may request a free travel brochure by visiting www.StLawrenceCruiseLines.com or by calling 1-800-267-7868.
