Kingston & 1000 Islands
Kingston is the home port of the M/V Canadian Empress. All cruises either begin or conclude in this historic city. Kingston is located at the beginning of the St. Lawrence River and the southern mouth of the Rideau Canal. Kingston once was a strategic military outpost and the first capital of the province of Canada. Kingston is now a city known for its educational institutions with Queen's University, St. Lawrence College & the Royal Military College. Tourism makes up a large portion of the local economy.
