OTTAWA
RIVER
This river today known as the Ottawa River
was used for thousands of years by native
Indians as a highway between the eastern and
western parts of the continent. Recorded history
began as late as 1613 when Samuel de Champlain
travelled up the river.
In 1857, Queen Victoria chose Ottawa to become
the permanent Capital of the Province of Canada.
At the time, it was centrally located; it
was acceptable to both Canada East and Canada
West; and it was reassuringly remote from
the hostile United States.
At
the turn of the century, Prime Minister Laurier
and his successor Mackenzie King worked to
create a grander capital: "a Washington of
the North". Today, after almost a century
of planning and painstaking work, we have
the beautiful capital of Ottawa.

OMEGA
PARK
Nature is an infinite source of inspiration. A visit
to Omega Park encourages the observation of earth
and nature and all its wonders. In the comfort and
safety of a coach you will explore 10 kilometers of
the beautiful, natural landscape of a Laurentian forest
coming face-to-face with many species of Canada's
wild animals including bear, moose, elk and buffalo
to name a few.

"'Welcoming'
'Efficient' 'Exceptionally Friendly', all describe
the crew. 'Our guests' wonderful experience began
with the Cruise Director's 'Welcome' aboard the
motorcoach. The 'personal' touch of taking passengers
to their cabins to aquaint them with its features
was the added 'bonus' that soon makes them aware
YOU CARE about each of them and it instantly puts
them at ease.
Thanks to you, my task as Tour Director was quite
easy. When passengers ask me what my favorite trips
are, I now have a new one to add!!! What warm memories
will be recalled as I tell them about the scenic
St. Lawrence and Ottawa River Cruise.
Thanks for all you do. Please express our gratitude
to the entire crew."
