"As you can see from the enclosed evaluation, I was extremely pleased with our recent experience aboard the Canadian Empress. But I wanted to say an extra few words about how your staff positively impacted every aspect of the trip. Each crew member stood ready to assist in any capacity, at any hour. In the service business, it is no small task to ensure that every member of the team is eager to build "customer enthusiasm". Yours has done that. I tell you that there was not a single incidence of anything less than cheerful, smiling, courteous, friendly service. I appreciate that.

The staff is very good at paying individual attention to specific needs. This was not just in the special requests they satisfied for me, but I witnessed this in their dealings with all the other passengers.

The cruise directors communicated well and ran the activities and the shore tours like clockwork. How the stewardesses remained cheerful and accommodating from early a.m. 'til late at night is a mystery to me. Never anything less than a beautiful smile!! The galley crew was timely and consistently provided fine meals. And having spent most of my time on the upper deck, I appreciated the deck hands keeping things as dry as possible, and always stowed away! And the bartender, well, I never got to meet him, but I heard he was on deck as required and that he is now a better man for having learned the "Cork Trick".

To your staff, "BRAVO!". I look forward to an encore performance."
